Hey! You! Yeah You! How’s it going? Name's Dylan Steiner, founder of TACB. I figured I’d take a few minutes to introduce myself and give y’all a little back story about how this whole business came to be. I was born in a town called North Babylon, but grew up in Yaphank. It is pronounced Yap-Hank to make your life a bit easier. I was birthed to an Italian mother and my father, who’s let’s just say ‘mix breed’ to shorten up the explanation. They would give me everything they could, but the one thing I couldn’t have enough of; sneakers. Yeah, that’s right those things people used to wear all the time, but now have them in some clear cases, those sneakers. We would get three pairs every year for school, two pairs when we first started, and another pair for Christmas. Extremely grateful, but also I craved for the ‘holy grails’ that my friends would talk about all the time. Coming up with a master plan, I decided I would try to do whatever I could to get more sneakers, but my favorite method of all, bartering. Ahh yes, the lost art where you can trade other items or services for other goods and/or services… I would do labor for sneakers, teach people gaming for sneakers, and trade my way up the ladder of glorification. Fast forward a bit and now I have 40 pairs of shoes, made a decent name for myself, but I’m just not ‘connected’ to the hustle like I once was. One day my friend came over and mentioned how art and sculptures are slowly making their way into the sneaker communities showing people you can invest in other ways, not just sneakers. From there I started to learn and educate myself on anything art or collectible, and BOOM! There it was, that passion I was looking for, that yearning for more had finally arose in me once again like a phoenix from the ashes. That phoenix’s name is the Art and Collections Brokerage, with over ten years of knowledge and passion I have collaborated with artists around the world, collected pieces sought after by collectors everywhere, and have taught others how to achieve the dream as well. When shopping with TACB just know you’re not just shopping with a small business, you’re shopping with someone who has come to love and cherish this community just as much as the artists who’ve created it.
